Why the long pause?

It's not that I haven't had anything to write about, or anything to express. Frankly, it's that too many folks from too many parts of my life read this, and I've been going through a transition period during which I didn't want to have my insides on the outsides.

And all of that comes down to an issue of trust: Do I trust the readers who enjoy the advantageous side of a personal information asymmetry not to exploit their advantage? My behavior answers that I don't. Which says less about them than it does about me.

But I miss the creative outlet and the opportunity for expression, so I'll probably write again. And I do appreciate the opportunity to be brave and tell the truth, irrespective of who might know it.
